Day 1
Arrival to Zvartnots international airport, transfer to the hotel,
DAY 2
Gyumri, The Architectural Gem of Armenia
Gyumri is one of the most beautiful Armenian cities. And if the other Armenian cities will admire you especially with their beautiful nature surrounding here you will admire mostly the old and unique Armenian architecture. Besides, Gyumri is the second largest city after Yerevan. Always being one of the cultural centers of Armenia, it not only attracts tourists with its beautiful architecture, but also with an active and warm urban atmosphere, innovative ideas of young people, one of which is the Museum of Illusions opened here in recent years.
During our tour, we will visit not only this museum, but also the Dzitoghtsyan museum, which best represents the urban life of Gyumri, will walk in the historical center of the city and also get acquanted with the specialties of the cuisine of this region.
DAY 3
Tour to Garni Temple and Geghard Monastery, master class of Lavash, a half day tour in Yerevan
In the morning first we will visi the most important museum of Yerevan- History Museum of Armenia, where you can feel and see the unique culture of a country with a history of thousands of years. We will also visit the legendary Ararat Brandy Factory in Yerevan, learn about the history of Armenian viticulture and taste different types of brandy.
Temple of Garni is the only preserved pagan temple in the territory of Armenia and the entire Caucasus. With its beautiful surrounded mountains, Azat river gorge, Symphony of Stones it is one of the most visited places in Armenia.
Geghard Monastery is one of the most beautiful buildings in the early Christian era . Geghard consists of very impressive buildings built in a cave, and a domed church . Geghard meaning "the Monastery of the Spear", originates from the spear which had wounded Jesus at the Crucifixion, allegedly brought to Armenia by Apostle Jude, called here Thaddeus, and stored amongst many other relics. Now it is displayed in the Echmiadzin treasury.
Day 4
A 2800 years old modern city Yerevan. City tour in Yerevan.
Yerevan is the capital of Armenia, it starts as a tiny settlement on the banks of river Hrazdan more than 2800 years ago. But modern Yerevan is more than a city with an ancient culture. It is presented to tourists with its warm atmosphere, delicious cuisine, numerous springs of drinking water, the nice models of modern art, etc.
During our city tour we will visit the most important museum of Yerevan- History Museum of Armenia, where you can feel and see the unique culture of a country with a history of thousands of years. We will also visit the legendary Ararat Brandy Factory in Yerevan, learn about the history of Armenian viticulture and taste different types of brandy.
Day 5
Dilijan surrounded by beautiful mountains, forests, lakes is considered one of the greenest cities in Armenia and therefore one of the most preferred vacation cities of both tourists and Armenians. Around the Dilijan there are located a several medival monasteries that are considered masterpieces of the Amenian architecture, the most notable of which are the Haghartsin and Goshavank monastery complexes.
The blue-eyed beauty of Armenia, Lake Sevan, is located in the middle of Dilijan and Yerevan, and Sevan will be our first stop during this tour.
Day 6
Tour to Tatev Monastery, Khndzoresk, Shaki waterfall, Areni wine factory
Tatev Monastery is one of the most remarkable structures of medieval Armenia. It is located in the south of Armenia, in the Syunik region, it is a real jewel for the lovers of cultural tourism, and the ropeway from Halidzor village to Tatev Monastery (in one direction) is the longest in the world.
It is very impressive the surrounding of the monastery- very deep Canyon of Vorotan River and the church as if hanging from a the rock.
However, during the tour, we will discover not only beautiful architecture but also the very beautiful nature of the Syunik region, one of the decorations of which is the Shaki waterfall.
Khndzoresk is an old Armenian cave dwelling where the famous hanging bridge is located. On the way back we will have a stop in Areni village, one of the cradles of Armenian winemaking. Getting acquainted with Armenian winemaking traditions and havefree wine tasting at Areni Wine Factory
