Tatev monastery is one of the medieval Armenian architectural masterpieces. The main monastery St. Poghos - Petros Church, was built at the end of the 9th century. The monastery is located in Vorotan Gorge and looks like it is built on a peninsula hanging from the depth. Thanks to the building of Tatev ropeway in recent years, the interest towards the Monastery was increased. The length of the ropeway is 5.7km
